Observations Monday 30 JUL 2012

The move to the undisclosed location is off. I've been busy retreating from Moscow, again. God said "Stay In The Doghouse, fool".

There are now 53 rubber tubs, 4 tables, 3 chairs, 6 books, two radios, two TV's, a VCR\DVD combo, a UHF antenna, 2 goose-neck lamps, and my CD collection left to retrieve. The 53 rubber tubs are in safely in storage. The CD collection has long since been recorded to computer, and backed up. The other items are still on the battlefield. Losing them would be painful, but not crippling.

In the interim, the entire upstairs has been cleaned, and the basement is just about ready to receive the tubs again. I've sorted through about 20 tubs already, and Goodwill is getting an unexpected number of old books (anything unused, or not available on Kindle for free is being purged). Anything that can be donated or recycled will be. Just checked with M. De Poisson on the value of the game items to be E-Bayed. The shredding will follow.

No more moving.

Well, That Was Fun

Just finished loading a 17 foot U-Haul, driving it to my new, undisclosed location, then unloading it, by myself. Average temp was over 100 F. Only about four big, two-man load items remaining to be moved that cannot be moved by car. Still about only 50% complete. The rest is to be dealt with mostly with recycling or E-Bay. 100+ Rubbermaid tubs. And the task has to be sorted through, by hand.

Monday Part 2- Wow.

1-800-GOT-JUNK took the entertainment center, my sister texted me four times, and someone from the old political board wants to contact me- all in the same half hour. Busy, Busy, Busy.

Monday Part One- Moving Stuff.

Just finished hauling furniture out for removal last night. Had to wait until temps fell after 2200 to haul them out. I'm shocked that I can still haul entertainment centers by myself :). When I returned tonight, 4/5 pieces were gone...except the entertainment center.
